All coaches over the age of 18 years old are required to complete a background check each year they coach. Background checks are administered through NCJLA in partnership with the National Center for Safety Initiatives. They are required to obtain and stay current with their US Lacrosse membership, rules of the game, background checks, US Lacrosse coaching certifications, concussion trainings and positive coaching course work. The NCJLA requires that all coaches carry a certified coaches badge during all games. In order to receive a coaches badge you must comply with all requirements listed above, including but not limited to conduct and equipment agreements. Coaches that do not have their certified coaches badge on them during a game will not be allowed on the sidelines with the team.

Gary's knowledge of lacrosse is immense and we are so fortunate to have his experience in leading the instruction.
Mike Henry (Director of Instruction)
Mike was a standout on his Div III Old Dominion College lacrosse team. He grew up in the lacrosse hotbed of Northern Virginia and played mid-field and attack at Lake Braddock high school. Mike is currently the varsity lacrosse coach at Christopher High School. Mike's focus is on bringing the best out of kids through the sport of lacrosse. You may have seen him on the soccer field volunteer coaching for OVYSL. Mike has coached lacrosse at many levels but really enjoys working with the younger kids U9, U11, U13.
Rich Hubbell (Director of Instruction)
Rich came to us through our outreach in the community. Rich was a member of the first lacrosse team in Morgan Hill...the Morgan Hill Mavericks. Rich has lacrosse in his blood (played for several years in high school) and enjoys volunteering his time to help the kids get better. Rich has coached the South County Outlaws 12U in several tournaments. He's currently the JV coach at Christopher High School. Rich is also in charge of all of our camps. When Rich isn't coaching lacrosse he enjoys tearing up the local trails on his mountain bike or riding 50 milers on his road bike and playing bass in a local band.
